High Voltage is the debut studio album by Australian hard rock band AC/DC, released only in Australia, on 17 February 1975. It’s not to be confused with the first internationally released album of the same name from 1976, which has a different cover art (feat. lettering by Gerard Huerta) and different songs.
The stencil letterforms used for both the band name and the title are obviously derived from Glaser Stencil, but feature bridges of different widths, suggesting that they were handdrawn. Also, the lower terminal of C is cut horizontally, unlike in Glaser’s typeface.
