The Tales of Chekhov book series (Ecco Press)
This collection of the works by Russian writer Anton Chekhov was published by Ecco Press in circa 1984–1987. The paperback series has very interesting covers, which use Abbott Old Style in all-caps for the title and author name, and University Roman for “& Other Stories”. The series with translations by Constance Garnett spans 13 volumes. The same design was used for later unnumbered additions, including The Selected Letters of Anton Chekhov (translated by Sidonie Lederer) and Notebook of Anton Chekhov (translated by S.S. Koteliansky and Leonard Woolf).
