I think you’re right, Chris. Found another Robert Anthony cover today with some similar modifications: Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.

These ligatures may be custom but it turns out that the film version of ITC Benguiat came with a few discretionary ligs and a mirrored A. fontsinuse.com/uses/14039/p…
