Nanna is a store for Scandinavian interior design in Vienna, Austria. For the logo, they went with lowercase letters from Satura. A wordmark that only features two different glyphs could have easily turned out dull. Not so with this typeface and its unusual distribution of thicks and thins. Satura is the result of a collaboration between two type designers from Sweden, Göran Söderström and the late Peter Bruhn. Released in 2010, it’s one of my favorite explorations of letterforms with horizontal stress. Satura is complemented by Netto for text.
