A paperback exhibition catalog title schilderijen (“paintings”) / Jan Toorop / Charley Toorop / Edgar Fernhout issued in 1971 in response to three exhibitions (respectively in Leiden, Dordrecht, and Groningen). The exhibitions and catalog brought together the work of three generations of artists: Jan Toorop, his daughter Charley Toorop and her son Edgar Fernhout, who was 60 years old at the event of the exhibition. In 1974, two years after this exhibition, Edgar Fernhout died in his parental home in Bergen.
The typography uses, in order of appearance: Eckmann-Schrift, Futura Black and Helvetica Bold. Body text is set in Univers 55 Regular and Univers 65 Bold.
