“Streams is a live album by American jazz saxophonist Sam Rivers featuring performances recorded at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 1973 for the Impulse! label.” — Wikipedia

Design by Martin Donald with a cover photography by Philip Melnick. The typeface is Fat Albert, a typeface made by phototype manufacturer Lettergraphics and shown in their 1968 catalog. I assume it’s an unauthorized adaptation of Walter Haettenschweiler’s OP-Letter. Fat Albert is distinguished from the original OP-Letter by harmonized letter heights and a different treatment of some shadows. Most notably, the counter in R is open, as one can see in the close-up below. See also the Blog post about Cherry by Nico Walker (Alfred A. Knopf) for more images of both OP-Letter and Fat Albert.
