Fly by Night was the second Rush album and first for Neil Peart. The music was much more complex then on the first album and all the lyrics were written by Neil Peart. Neil was (and still is) a compulsive reader, and his lyrics were greatly influenced by the books he read. “Fly by Night”, “Anthem” and “By-Tor & The Snow Dog” became classic songs.
The cover typeface is Stridon, an inclined shadow-only sans, originally made at the French foundry Warnery. In the 1970s, it was available as film type from VGC.
