The 208 pages long publication Auftrieb – Die Geschichte der Stanley Thomas Johnson Stiftung 1969–2019 gives an insight into the wide range of funding activities and grants an unusually open view on the history and work of the Swiss based foundation. The publication focuses on visualising the foundation’s history and activities, in a frankly yet critically manner. Therefore, an objective and modest visual communication had to be created, without lacking aesthetic aspirations, high quality materials and worthy representation. A flexible grid allows the content to alternate between essays, portraits, interviews and photo series.
