French photographer Maxime Ballesteros captures honest moments in our everyday existence, in a world where sexual freedom and exploration is becoming celebrated and commonplace. He sees those moments of life liberated and displays it to us so we can marvel over the beautiful aspects of life we have left unnoticed. Perhaps it is for this reason that so many of Maxime’s images glimpse at only a fraction of a scene – the exquisite detail of a pair of legs bound in suspenders or the intimate closeness of bodies in a bath. His debut book Maxime Ballesteros, Les Absents has been designed by London-based studio B.A.M. Cover titles and chapter openings are set with Suisse Works, combined with a Regular weight of NewParis Skyline for captions and bilinguals texts.
