WYNG Media Award (WMA) invites photographers and artists worldwide to respond to the annual theme — “Light”. An exhibition will be held in Hong Kong during April 2020.
We were commissioned to create the visual identity, campaign, and printed matters. Our goal was to create a striking graphic solution that grounded to the essence of the photography — a moment to be captured through black-and-white visual language and bold typography. English text is set in GT America by Grilli Type. The Condensed Ultra Light sparkled when it was in front of the extreme black-and-white situation, which is elegant and looks contemporary. GT America is paired with Noto Sans TC for Chinese.
A set of four postcards result the presence of a moment that reflects on the contrasting materiality of the works: heavyweight solid black cardstock and silver metallic ink.
