Madrid-based designer Clara Sancho designed a publication for آلهة الحدود | Dioses de la Frontera | Gods of the Frontier, a project by artist Clara Carvajal about the Lebanese society since acquiring independence from the French mandate in the 1940s, up to the outbreak of the civil war in 1975.

For the trilingual publication (Arabic, Spanish, English) the fonts 29LT Riwaya and 29LT Zarid Display were used. A limited edition of 250 copies was printed on Munken Print and Magno Satin and signed by the artist in Madrid in September 2019.

All images belong to the archives of the Arab Image Foundation, the An–Nahar newspaper and the photographer Emile Boulos Divers at their Beirut headquarters.
