Local Identities
Local Identities is the title of my BA project, made at the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Art of the German University in Cairo (GUC) in 2017.
The aim of this project was to build a guide of the general identity of primary governmental schools, with a focus on the schools’ visuality for the public, through conducting research, building analysis, and observations.
The whole research steps and findings were published in a B5 publication of 192 pages. Digital printing, Kettle stitch bookbinding.
Neue Helvetica Extended was applied here as a solo typeface, used in different weights and sizes, horizontally and vertically, as the letters’ anatomy were matching the visuals added to it in a harmonious way, giving the viewer the visual a sense of the delivered subject, which is an academic research.
