Through the Years: The Best of The Fray

Through the Years: The Best of The Fray is a compilation album by American rock band The Fray. Art direction and design for the album as well as the single “Singing Low” by Annie Stoll. The fonts in use are Poem Script (Sudtipos; modified), GT Pressura Light (Grilli Type), and Lulo Clean One Bold (Yellow Design Studio). Still photos by Tobias Hutzler.

We had only a few days to put this art together, but it was inspired by the vibes of the music and the overall feelings the band had cultivated over the years – a little bit melancholy but also something that when you look at it, soars. The process was collaborative with the band and the sense of urgency and time lead to some great places creatively.
