We Loft Music 2019

Surfaces selected the Mars typeface by Alaric Garnier for the visuals of the first We Loft Music festival. Conceived by Cave aux poètes, this event is “all about discovering emerging artists in atypical and/or intimate places in Roubaix.”

Jane Secret and Nicolas Millot of the Surfaces studio from Lille designed the festival posters and a leaflet with the program details. While the posters exclusively use Mars Condensed (with the words of the title set in playfully distorted caps that seem to emerge from adumbrated boxes), the program additionally features its wide counterpart Mars Extended for longer texts. The items were screen-printed in three colors by Lézard Graphique.
