Here’s another, quite different 1970s example of multicolored ITC Pioneer set on an angle, cf. the Montrose album art posted by Nick.

Na Stromě is the Czech title for the French comedy Sur un arbre perché (English: Perched on a Tree) directed by Serge Korber and starring Louis de Funès, Geraldine Chaplin, and Olivier de Funès. For the poster, Zdeněk Ziegler (b. 1932) chose to overprint each letter of the second word (“tree”) in a different color, apparently in reference to fall foliage. He once more employed the crop-and-repeat technique – this time not for the type, but for the photographic portrait. The secondary information is set in Bodoni, in alternating line colors.
