  1. Publisher Rowohlt used the same art for various editions. The illustration with the purple tree and the birds appeared on the jacket for the first German edition from 1962, with period hand-lettering. It’s still used for the current edition introduced in 2015, now with text set in Ashby, a freebie by Robby Woodward.
