The Shadow Of Your Smile is Astrud Gilberto’s second solo album, released within a year after her succesful solo debut album. Cover photo by Ken Harrison. For the Spanish-language market, it was released as La Sombra de tu Sonrisa.
The information on the album cover is set in Caslon 540 Italic, using a swash initial for each single word. Caslon 540 is essentially the same design as Caslon 471, but with shorter descenders (as seen in the lowercase f); set in the same size, 540 looks a bit sharper – and it differs in details like the diagonal top on the t.
