On 9 January 1909, Martha Bruschke and Franz Albrecht celebrated their wedding in Gardelegen, a town in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany.

The menu for the wedding feast is set in four sizes of a Karten-Gotisch, i.e. a textura intended for greeting cards, business cards, and similar ephemera. The typeface was first cast in 1906 by the Klinkhardt foundry in Leipzig as Lithographia. It was later continued by Berthold. The same design was also carried by Gronau as Diplomaten-Gotisch, by Bauer as Duchesse, and by Flinsch as Typographia.
