London and a Year is a self-published book of photos and essays made in London between August 2011 and August 2012 by American writer and photographer Brian Leli. It was funded via Kickstarter on May 27, 2011 and officially released on February 1, 2013.
The hardcover book measures 9.5"x8" and contains 120 pages of street photos, personal essays and narrative journalism pieces. The photos and essays offer a unique view of the London Riots, the Olympics, Occupy London, the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, Pride London, random street encounters, and much more.
Fonts used are Bevan, Guardian Egyptian and Futura.
The book’s cover is black foil-stamped text set in Bevan on black vellum.
