Three single record covers for Jayaire Woods, commissioned by Layup Entertainment. Inspired by vintage record singles that relied solely on typography. My goal was to create a consistent look across three singles released in the spring of 2020 for Chicago artist Jayaire Woods — named “10 Artists to Watch in 2020” by Highsnobiety and “Best New Artists” by Complex Magazine. The design utilizes Futura Condensed for the track title and artist name — while borrowing a few characters from Trickster by Velvetyne. The surrounding details are set in the Bold weight of Monotype Grotesque Extended.
