The bold weight of West Cooper Nouveau Swash, used on the cover of an album by Judy Garland that was released in 1967 on Pickwick/33 Records. Drawn by Dave West, this face was added to Photo-Lettering’s library around 1965. In 1972, it was copied by Letraset as Lazybones, with a number of changes, including a different y that didn’t find favor with everyone.
Cooper Nouveau here is used with alternating word colors and paired with a wide sans that is shown too small for me to identify. The back cover repeats the title in Cooper Nouveau, but in black and with a different alignment. Liner notes and track list are set in News Gothic Condensed.
