Super Mega Bien is a restaurant in Denver, serving Latin American dim sum. To complete the “industrial meets playful and colourful” restaurant interior by LIVStudio Architecture, MATTER Design created the typographic solution combining JAF Mashine and Alternate Gothic. From MATTER Design:

When the owners of Work & Class came to us with an idea for a new restaurant called Super Mega Bien, they asked us to consider the intersection of the 1968 Mexico City Olympics and the work of New York artist Jean-Michel Basquiat. The result is a nationally-renowned restaurant for travelers of all walks—taking visitors to the streets and kitchens of São Paulo, Oaxaca, Santiago, and beyond. Opportunities for discovery are around every corner with posters, dim sum menu stamps, look-a-little-closer custom fixtures, and wheat-pasted street art featuring the revolutionaries, heroes, despots, tall tales, and legends of Latin America. In collaboration with LIVStudio Architecture, we created an interior that is transportive and interactive.
