In an age where astrology and mindfulness are increasingly popular, Chani distinguishes herself by using astrology as a tool for empowerment and healing.

The book cover needed not only to reflect Chani’s unique approach to astrology but also to stand out from an increasingly crowded market. Porto Rocha aimed to provide a design that deviates from astrology visual clichés and instead focuses on an impactful typographic approach using the typeface Marvin Visions. Its chunky, tightly-spaced geometric letterforms evoke a visual language reminiscent of the 1960/70s, drawing a parallel between the omnipresence of the zodiac in popular culture at the time and its prevailing relevance today. The cover’s matte black finish is contrasted by shiny holographic foil, adding both a mystical and physical quality to the book that encourages people to engage with it in a tactile way.
