A bichromatic use of Pluto Shaded (Face Photosetting, 1969), for the cover of All Your Own. Hundreds of ideas for your room, published in 1977 in the Beaver Books series by Littlehampton Book Services Ltd. Secondary type uses Futura. (The David Bowie bucket in the photograph features ITC Pioneer.)
Pluto came in four styles. The Shaded is distinguished by a halftone gradient fill that increases the three-dimensional look. It’s also used for the headings in the book interior. Text is set in Monotype Garamond.
With illustrations by Virgina Smith. The cover photograph is by Alec Murrey, and the printing was done Cox & Wyman Ltd. No designer is credited for the typography.
