The font used for the Tecmo logo is not Blippo bold. For one thing, the letter C doesn’t match.

  2. Ashram, are you looking at Blippo Black (which is the original Blippo style and available in digital form), or Blippo Bold? The latter – an extension very closely modeled after Burko – has this form of C. (The Black had an alternate semi-circle form, too, but it’s not included in the digitizations).

Blippo Bold certainly looks like it.

I’ve tried searching on the net for that exact font, but none of the results found are correct, no matter if I search for bold or black variants.

Tracing it down, I could try to search for Blippo Bold FotoStar.

Going back to Blippo Bold, a substitute appears to be Brandish Regular, though the character for the letter O and the number 0 isn’t perfectly exact to Blippo Bold.

  5. Right, Brandish is probably the closest digital option. It’s not a great font, though. Made by the shady FontBank in the early 1990s, it suffers from a limited character set with erroneous glyphs (see e.g. the quotation marks), poor diacritics and kerning, and lumpy curves.
