Paul Whiteman Conducts George Gershwin Paul Whiteman, with Leonard Pennario as a solo pianist. Rhapsody in Blue on the A side, the B side has An American in Paris. First released in 1952 with a different cover, the image shows a later pressing from 1962. The cover design references the colors of the U.S. flag (and of the French Tricolour), featuring stacked and staggered lines in all-caps Inserat-Grotesk, with the remaining white space filled with stars.
