Bach Among the Theologians by Jaroslav Pelikan

Rustikalis Modernized Gothic, the light extended style of the Rustikalis family, in use on the jacket of a book about Johann Sebastian Bach by Jaroslav Pelikan (1923–2006). It’s not clear if the swash B was available as alternate, or if it was added by the jacket designer. The words are embellished with dots and lines, echoing Bach’s handwritten score reproduced below.

The author’s name appears to be based on a light Palatino, but with a modified P (made from a d?) and a matching R. Palatino is also used to typeset the interior.
