Focusing on Lucian Freud’s prints, the exhibition Corpos e Rostos (lit. “Bodies and Faces”, English title: Portraits and Figures) at Museu de Arte de São Paulo Assis Chateaubriand (MASP) includes etchings from two of his great periods: the late 1940s and, after a long pause, from the early 1980s onwards with a succession of works considered equivalent to his best-known paintings.
The exhibition also contains twenty-eight photographs of the artist, his studio, and his models by David Dawson, Lucian Freud’s assistant of over twenty years.
The book design by teoMenna estúdio uses Gerard Unger’s Swift family for the bilingual typography.
