The thesis project Swisstopia Automata by Hoang Nguyen is an investigation into the utopian future of Switzerland and how it can be visualized. More concretely, it is a study of a utopian society in which labour does not play such a central and in many ways problematic role as it does today.

By visualizing a utopian Switzerland called Swisstopia, she created a fictive report which is written and designed in a way that suggests that it comes from a not further defined future and mixes real and fictive elements to provide a graspable portrait of a Switzerland after the labour society.

In this report, Hoang Nguyen used Monopol and Monopol Thin for the titles. The latter was first used here. Running texts are set in Atacama and Suisse Int’l Mono.
