“Together in touch” is a student project on orientation during the pandemic made at the Münster School of Design at FH Münster.
Made with humour and compassion, using two sets of postcards and a one-page website to connect participants online. The postcard set is intended to reduce loneliness during the pandemic, promote empathy, brighten everyday life and strengthen the sense of community. At the same time, the second postcard set is meant to be reflective.
The typeface of choice is Sombra for headlines and text. Iman, Cora and Emma of MSD Münster on their decision:
At the beginning of our project, we were looking for an eye-catching and expressive typeface that would not only allow us to set large, bold headlines, but also guarantee legibility in small passages of text. Sombra was the ideal choice because of the special typefaces from Thin to Poster. Due to its strong character, the curved, stubborn details and the special selection of glyphs (symbols, pictograms, ligatures, etc.), it presents our project in exactly the right light.
