Self-titled album with avant-garde jazz by the Alec Wilder Octet, which in addition to composer Alec Wilder included his Eastman classmate Mitch Miller on oboe. It was released on Mercury Records in 1949, with cover illustration by Dan Shapiro. The track names are shown in rotated lines set in red Vogue caps. The album title uses Playbill.
