This book, A Little-Known Story about a Movement, a Magazine, and the Computer’s Arrival in Art: New Tendencies and Bit International, 1961–1973, is an extensive source book, published by ZKM (Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe, Germany) and the MIT Press, Cambridge, MA, London, England. It chronologically documents the “little-known story” of the New Tendencies and its relevance on the history of computer-based arts, its exhibitions, symposia, and publications from 1961 to 1973.

Edited by Margit Rosen, and designed by Renata Sas, who exclusively used Athelas for titles, body text, and footnotes.
