Released by Waldorf Music Hall Records in 1958, this “King Size” LP includes recordings of The Music Man, a musical with book, music, and lyrics by Meredith Willson, based on a story by Willson and Franklin Lacey. In 1957, the show became a hit on Broadway. The cover typography features a bichromatic setting of Filmotype Quentin and a relatively early use of Volta (1956). The track listing and credits are set in all-caps Futura Condensed.
