Tally Hall – Good & Evil album art
Good & Evil is Tally Hall’s second studio album. It was released on June 21, 2011 by independent label Quack! Media on CD, vinyl, and digital download.
A radical inversion of the dense, ornate woodcut-style art of the first album, this cover is stark and geometric. At first glance, the pattern seems endlessly recursive: each inner layer rotates the first one by 45 degrees to the right. But it actually isn’t. Every four layers, the unmirrored words “TALLY HALL” in Helvetica Bold appear back at the top of the square (to continue the pattern, they would have to be 180 degrees from the outermost layer, or at the bottom), breaking the otherwise perfect fractal.
The back, and the accompanying lyrics booklet, use Mrs Eaves (in roman, italic, and small caps). The traditional Tally Hall logo in all-lowercase Arial with interlinear ligatures can also be seen on the back cover.

So is the Tally Hall type in Arial or in Helvetica?
