We designed all the common room signage for the IQ Student Accommodation in Shoreditch. The signs are made from anodized aluminum and combine influences from traditional pub signs and old-fashioned doilies with colours from Indian saris that can be seen in the shops around Brick Lane. When we first came to the building we noticed that all the existing door numbers use an unnecessary amount of screws, so we decided to use even more screws for our signs and incorporate this into the design.
