One of my favorite books, discovered as an adult, but wish I had as a child. From the jacket:
Suzanne Heller, whose first book this is, is a New Yorker born and bred, a Sunday painter, employed by a New York law firm — and someone who hasn’t forgotten what it’s like for kids.
I have had this wonderful book first edition 1964 since it was published. Now at age 82 wonder if any monetary valve has been placed on it? Thank you for your assistance. I am not letting it go, just want to protect it.
Hello Betty, it’s a lovely book, but in terms of monetary value, it’s not a sought-after collector’s item yet. On eBay, one copy (first edition, seventh printing) recently sold for $17.59. Another copy (same printing, in slightly worse condition) is being offered for $9.60.
