Halyard and Obviously are the typefaces chosen for this year’s edition of Baboró International Arts Festival for Children. The Baboró festival is organized annually in Galway, Ireland, with the declared purpose “to inspire children to engage with the world through their experience of the creative arts.”
Dublin-based studio Path provided the website design for the 25th festival. They skillfully combined several sans-serif fonts: Halyard Display by Darden Studio is used in Regular and Bold weights, lending its impact to headlines, large quotes, and CTAs. All smaller copy is rendered in Halyard Text: with more open interletter spacing and larger apertures than its Display sibling, this subfamily is optimized for text sizes. The palette is completed by OH no’s Obviously Medium: this wider and vertically more compact font serves for the menu, button labels, and other navigational items.
Baboró 2021 will take place October 4–17, offering a program with both online and in-person events, involving theater, dance, workshops, visual art, music, audio, literature, storytelling, and more.

When you add these sans-serif fonts all-purpose… Great stuff!
