Heritage Singers are a Californian gospel group formed in 1971, with the “goal is to bring people closer to Jesus through praising Him in music”. They recorded over 200 albums and are still active to this day. Faith to the People is one of their earlier releases, from 1973.
The group frequently used Blippo Black for their visual identity, albeit typically in all-lowercase letters. This cover, designed by Paul B. Ricchiuti at Concerned Communication, uses it in all caps. Blippo Black was drawn in 1969 by Joe Taylor as a fat variation of Burko Bold. Since 1998, Taylor is the owner, director, and curator of a creationist fossil museum in Crosbyton, Texas.
