Tycho is an American musician and record producer from San Francisco, known for his blend of downtempo guitar, analogue synthesis, and ambient elements, encompassing a myriad of music genres including chillwave, ambient, IDM, and post-rock.
The man behind Tycho, Scott Hansen, is also a graphic designer known professionally as ISO50. You might know him from his ISO50 blog. He is responsible for most of Tycho’s artwork, including many posters.

Exploring a warmer, more vibrant palette and a focus on the now well established core iconography of Tycho. This was a time of constant change and movement that lead to a renewed passion for art and music.
The Tycho logotype is generally set in Trade Gothic Bold Extended (1959) by Jackson Burke (1908–1975). Most of the titles and headings are set in Clonoid Semibold (2013) by Ryoichi Tsunekawa (1978–). The body texts are set in Neue Helvetica Medium (1983) by Linotype Design Studio, which is based on Helvetica (1957) by Max Miedinger (1910–1980) with art direction from Eduard Hoffmann (1892–1980).
