Am Zunfttisch im Casino Bern offers an insight into Bern’s culinary heritage. It is packed with stories and anecdotes from the last half millennium of Switzerland, the city-state of Bern and the canton, focusing on the culinary tradition, food and drinks. In addition to numerous historical illustrations that visually accompany the stories, photographer Yoshiko Kusano and the culinary team from Casino Bern photographed all dishes for the publication.
Designed by Atelier Pol, the book is set with a combination of Suisse Int’l and Suisse Works. Book title and chapter openings are set with an all-caps condensed style of Domaine Display. The book has been awarded Gold at the 2021 Swiss Gourmet Book Award.
