Nordens Paris / Paris of the North is an exhibition presented by Nordiska museet in Stockholm. It shows the French Couture atelier at Nordiska Kompaniet – the leading establishment for women’s fashion in the Nordic countries during the golden age of haute couture. Malmsten Hellberg has designed exhibition graphics in close collaboration with exhibition designer Marcia Harvey Isaksson. The graphic design follows the book that is produced in connection with the exhibition with grey, black and gold and typefaces from Commercial Classics, featuring Caslon Ionic, Blanchard, Antique No 6, and Caslon Doric Wide. Lab Grotesque (Letters from Sweden) was added for captions where we needed a typeface with good legibility in small sizes.
