Irregular is a German skateboard magazine, based in Munich, Germany. The quarterly features professional skateboarders, trips and events on 128 pages, with a lot of texts by Nico Uhler and photographs by Fabian Reichenbach, Hannes Mautner and Thomas Gentsch.
Art director Stefan Gottwald chose a combination of typeface families Spitzkant and Ardena by Julien Fincker for this year’s issues. The typefaces are combined in very different and playful ways for headlines and body text. Each article gets its own look and feel, in a very modern and high-class way.
Issue 46 is the fourth issue of the year, and the fourth to feature exclusively these two typefaces. See also the posts about issues 43, 44 and 45.
