Fidelio is a Cafe and Orchestra based in London, with the aim of making classical music more open and accessible to a wider public. In line with this vision, the overall objective of the new visual identity was striking a balance between retro and contemporary, refined and inclusive.

For thir visual identity, this intent was primarily met through Tobias Fidelio, a version of Tobias, custom made by Prague-based Displaay Type Foundry. The custom typeface features glyphs and ligatures inspired by the use of type in the Art Nouveau and Vienna Secession movements. As the new corporate typeface, Tobias Fidelio is featured across printed and digital media, often with one-off ligatures and type adjustments.

A yellow and blue palette evoking the cafe facade was used throughout the digital assets to attain a higher level of consistency in the visual identity. Particular attention was given to production details, with foil-stamped business cards and a hand-painted gold leaf sign inspired by traditional London shop fronts on the facade.
