Gee, wonder what the inspiration of Ars Nova is, hmmm?
On the typeface page for Ars Nova, we state that it’s loosely based on Staudel Xenotype J as shown in PLINC’s Alphabet Thesaurus Vol. 2. This was confirmed by Erica Jung, one of the designers. As for why this isn’t mentioned elsewhere, that’s a question for PintassilgoPrints.
