Brand identity and website for Echio, a live-streaming platform where fans learn from artists, and artists connect with their fans.

Echio offers a live window into how your favorite artists work, how they think, how they approach creative problems and overcome technical ones. With Echio, fans ask their favorite artist questions and get real answers in real-time. Artists can hear how their biggest fans react to work in progress. There’s no substitute for live exchange.

Echio’s visual identity was developed at Decimal Studios (decimal_studios) is inspired by the connection and the exchange between artists and fans. It also communicates how knowledge is propagated through the platform, mirroring how echo is propagating sound. We wanted the design to be fun, dynamic and bold.

Echio’s color palette is very bright and bold, representing the positive energy of creativity. Display typography is Clash Grotesk by Indian Type Foundry because of its contemporary feeling and the twist on some of its characters. For body copy we are using Matter by Displaay Type Foundry, as it’s a very readable font but also adds a subtle, warm touch.

  1. Clash Display is also available in a text sized variant called Clash Grotesk.

  2. Thanks, Jay. The styles used by Echio are indeed from Clash Grotesk, not Clash Display. Fixed now.
