Dicing with Dragons is a book written by English fantasy author Ian Livingstone, who is the co-founder of the Fighting Fantasy series of role-playing gamebooks. His introduction to role-playing games was first published in Great Britain in 1982. This is the dust jacket of a printing by Plume Books, an imprint of New American Library, from 1982 or 1984.
Vintage Geek Culture comments:
This is like the tabletop RPG version of those 90s books about the Internet where the cover is a robot on a surfboard going through a wave of numbers out of a monitor.
Gerry Burpee adds:
You can tell this is fantasy because there is a woman at the table.
The cover art by Victoria Poyser is paired with Ryter, used in all caps with a co of its many alternates, some of which look a little like winding necks and tails of dragons. This uncredited VGC release is supported by ITC Korinna.
