Smile is Raina Telgemeier’s #1 New York Times bestselling, Eisner Award-winning graphic memoir based on her childhood. Initially published as a weekly webcomic on Girlamatic, it was published in book form in February 2010 by Graphix, an imprint of Scholastic Inc.
The light, informal sans used in Phil Falco’s cover design is a font drawn in 1998 by Ken Barber called Typography of Coop Light. The follow-ups Sisters (2014) and Guts (2019) follow this basic design.
