Since 2001, the Basel Erleben Association has been developing projects that contribute to the attractiveness of Basel. Basel und seine Bäume (“Basel and its trees”) was developed in cooperation with the Stadtgärtnerei Basel.
Informative and entertaining, the project aims to arouse enthusiasm and understanding for the city’s trees among the population. It includes a richly illustrated book, an app offering five tree walks, a website updated seasonally with news, video interviews, and drone flights.
The book Basel und seine Bäume by Helen Liebendörfer and Emanuel Trueb was published by Friedrich Reinhardt Verlag, 2022.
