Alcohol Ukulele is a ukulele blues and bluegrass band from Kharkiv, Ukraine. Their music is a fusion of 1930s and 1940s American music, 1970s Ukrainian pop, and local (global?) social problems. Shown here is their single “Чорнобаївка” / “Летить блєдіна” from May 2022.

The display typeface Volja (or Воля) was designed by me, Marchela Mozhyna, after Russia invaded Ukraine. It is based on the lettering of the Ukrainian graphic artist Nil Khasevych (1905–1952), who designed posters, magazines, and newspapers for the Ukrainian liberation movement in the mid-20th century. The closest analogue for the shape of the letters was the title page of the literary magazine For the Freedom of the Nation.
