Interior brand FEST Amsterdam represents an all-encompassing effort to bring joy to everyday life and to celebrate the world around us. With its colorful character, the brand advocates bravery and boldness in both life and aesthetics.
While creating the catalog, we put back the ‘fun’ into functionality with colorful shapes, combined with a striking graphic typography. We’re showing FEST’s colorful collection in a graphic, bold and confident way.
The collection catalog is part of a broader strategic reframe where we looked into the fundamentals of the brand and defined what the brand was all about. This process drew out the essential and stripped away the irrelevant, which created a steady foundation for the years to come.
We believe that your interior is a space for self-expression, a kaleidoscopic range of moods, colors, designs, and ideas which shape your own world. FEST’s extensive services and personal curation, can help you find your own interior voice.
We translated FEST’s continuous journey through inspiration, innovation and style into a visual language, which helped shape the catalog. The colors and shapes mark the company’s products and are translated into the graphic design. We used the Regular and Medium styles of Basis Grotesque by Colophon Foundry. Being the only typeface used in the new FEST identity (except for the logo, set in another typeface from Colophon – Aperçu) Basis Grotesque makes a bold and confident statement. It promotes recognizability too, serving as a landmark for the brand.
